This report is the result of a atudy on passenger conveyors in the past, the
present and the future. In conneotion with the experienoe gained frorn the
present systems the human behaviour on passenger conveyors was inveetigated.
Based on these data, some suggestiona were made. Moreover, adjustments were
formulated people require of fast moving walkways. A survey was made of the
preeent situation of technique in this field. The systems proposed were
comparod with the requirements formulated.
