Low cost offshore field development (subsea system).

This study investigates whether a subsea system could form an economically
attractive alternative to a conventional platform based field development.
The study is based on a hypothetical field called "Imag". A hypothetical field
was decided upon to create a field development scenario in which a meaningful
comparison could be made between a conventional production system and a subsea
production system.
An economic evaluation shows that the subsea system is competitive to the
conventional system at a waterdepth of 150 m (apart from the question
whether the development of the field is economically attractive). However
this can alter when the field parameters change.
