This paper describes the systems currently in use for the loading and
unloading of goods and the means for roadtransportation. Surveyed are the
vehicles used for the transportation and the cargo-spaces (disconnectable or
not) available.
The loading and unloading of the vehicles can take place in many different
ways. Available are manual as well as fully automated systems. Tke systems
which are described are devided into two groups: the suitability for general
cargo or bulk cargo.
