This paper describes a series of experiments investigating the wear between
traction sheaves and cables and the influence of the materials used. This
experiment is a continuation of prior tests. Also analysed are criteria to
evaluate the results of the various combinations.
A second experiment concerns the friction between the traction sheave and
the cable and the influence of the relative speed of the disk.
