A program in Matlab for Windows has been made in order to simulate hoist
movements of a tower crane. Much attention has been paid to the capabilities
of Matlab for Windows to use graphical input and output.
Simulation results show that in case of a 180° rotation the remanant
movement of the hoist is small when the rotation time of the crane is a
multiple of the oscillation time of the hoist and the acceleration time of
the crane is 2.5 to 3 seconds.
