Report 96.3.TT.4567, Transport Engineering and Logistics.
This report is the result of a survey study on of the machines that are being
used in agriculture. The main part of this study consists of the basic
requirements on the machines, the construction and the operation in practice.
The first part of this report gives a survey of the most commonly used
farming machines, classified into a number of groups. The second and final
part of this report focusses into tillage and cultivation mechanics, especially
the appplication of the plough.
Most of the machines comply with the requirements made up for each machine.
No major imperfections were found. From the section on the plough can be
concluded that the half turn plough still is the most used plough these days.
