This report describes the development of a computer model of a package
delivery service.
The topic of this report is the assignment of orders for the
transportation of goods to trucks with the objective to use as little
trucks as necessary to transport as many orders as possible while
respecting certain constraints. Three assignment methods are
presented.
The simulations that are made with the computer model
show that the method that assigns orders to the trucks dynamically gives
the best result.
