Report 2005.TL.6935, Transport Engineering and Logistics.
This report is on problems and potential solutions for the healthcare
in the Netherlands. It starts off with a brief description of the
healthcare industry, and of historical, present and future aspects which
might influence healthcare. Subsequently, some problems which are present
in Dutch healthcare, like waiting lists, are subdivided into categories of
their possible causes.
Based on knowledge of logistics and production technology, suggestions for
analysing where bottlenecks are and suggestions for potential (partial)
solutions to the problem are made.
